I didn't have any luck formatting it as FAT.Ĥ- Download BootCamp onto usb2. To enable NTFS format as an option, install. I'll call this usb1.ģ- In MacOS, create a partition (I did 44gb), don't name the partition (not sure why naming it gave me issues), and format as NTFS. I used Windows7 I have running in VMWare. I hope this helps anyone looking to do the same in the future.ġ- Back up pc to external hard drive because stuff happens.Ģ- Create a Windows 10 bootable usb using Media Creation Tool from microsoft (using any licensed Windows).
After attempting many similar methods of installing Windows 10 on my 15 inch mid 2010 MacBook Pro6,2 running High Sierra 10.13.6, this method finally worked for me.
